All Julie Sandlau jewelry is produced in rhodium-plated and 22 carat gold-plated recycled 925 sterling silver, and our Fine Jewelry collections are produced in recycled 18 carat gold and white gold. 18 carat gold is stamped with 750, which shows that the jewelry contains 75% gold.

We use recycled precious metals to avoid extracting new gold from mines and saving the earth's resources. Therefore, we only buy recycled precious metals from our certified suppliers and put them back in the cycle of eternal life.

Certified Diamonds
All our diamonds bear the "Kimberly Certificate of Origin", a certification prepared by the UNO, which guarantees that the diamonds do not originate from conflict zones. Diamonds are valued on the basis of what we in English call ‘the 4 Cs’:

• CARAT
• CLARITY
• COLOR
• CUT

A diamond's grinding is very important and crucial for how much light and brilliance is seen in the diamond, it is this that brings out the beauty in the diamond. If the grinding is too low, the light will disappear from the bottom of the diamond and if the grinding is too deep, the light will go out of the side. The perfect cut with the right proportions will make the light reflect up through the top of the diamond, which is called "Table". It is this beautiful reflection and light that characterizes a real diamond.

her sense of picking out the beautiful gems and crystals
and put them together in elegant jewelry.

Our moonstones are carefully selected and matched in pairs for each
simple jewelry. The moonstone is said to have a connection to the moon
magic and is used as an amulet for travelers, love
and wisdom. Moonstone is available in many different colors from white
to blue and brown and has an incredibly beautiful glow. One senses
how the stone shines from within when one studies them closely.

Freshwater pearls
The pearls used in our collections are natural
freshwater pearls. As the name suggests, these pearls come from
freshwater mussels. Freshwater pearls come in many
various shapes, both oval, round, rice-shaped and
teardrop-shaped. They are available in natural colors such as white, gray, pink,
lavender and peach colored.

Freshwater mussels can live up to 150 years, and a common
size freshwater pearl often spends 5-7 years in the mussel.
Our pearls are AAA quality which corresponds to the top 5% of all pearls
harvested per year. When working with real gems, it is
important to remember that they are naturally produced. It can therefore
it is inevitable that the beads vary in shape, color and size. Every
simple pearl is therefore matched in pairs at the factory for each piece of jewelry.
